Installation

Prerequisites

Make sure your system meets the minimum requirements:

• ExpressionEngine 7.3 or later
• PHP 8.2 or later
• allow_url_fopen enabled: the emails are sent and the templates are validated through a request from the site to its own action URL
• Store 4.0.0 or later

For ExpressionEngine 6 and lower the download contains a legacy package in the legacy folder (ee_reinos_store_email-v1.4.0.zip).

Installation Instructions

• Make sure the Store module (4.0.0 or later) is installed: the install stops with an error when it isn't
• Upload the files to the right place
• Install the module in Add-Ons --> Modules

On install, two templates are created for every site that has the order confirmation email template of the Store module: Order confirmation (status Complete, paid) and Order confirmation (awaiting payment) (status Pending, not paid). Both are based on the order confirmation email template of the Store module and get the same mail type (Text or HTML) as the Store module. From then on the Store module doesn't send its own order confirmation email anymore; the emails are sent by the templates of this module. The templates are only created on install: when you update from 1.x, add the awaiting payment template yourself if you need it (Available from v2.0.0). See CP Overview and How does it work

Update instructions

• Backup the Files and the Database
• Remove all old module files (system/user/addons/reinos_store_email)
• Place the new files in the right folders
• Update the Store module first when it is older than 4.0.0: until then the update of this module stops with a notice and the old version stays installed
• Navigate to the module page and trigger the update process, by clicking on the "module update" button. Do this right after uploading the files: until the update has run, the emails can't be sent
